As this was a chance to take the kids to London, I planned the day beforehand. We walked from Victoria to Buckingham Palace then on to Horse Guards, Trafalgar Square and then through the main shopping streets. This proved very useful as we did not have to hurry to make sure we were in time for the show. Rather than taking time finding a place to eat, we bought a light lunch at Tesco Express on the corner of Whitehall and Northumberland Avenue. We then ate in Trafalgar Square. This meant we could each choose something different and had plenty of time to continue our day out. On the way home we had booked an afternoon coach, this allowed us to walk the entire length of Oxford Street (most shops are open on Sundays) and get a cab from Marble Arch back to Victoria.
Good choice of hotel.Very close to the station.Short walking distance. One problem in the hotel was the outside noise. Must have been a club nearby, but it wasn't too bad. The sight-seeing tour was very good, although we didn't stay long enough to enjoy the trip down the Thames.Love to go again!
Shoping in London's Oxford and Regent Street and watching the Trooping of the Colour. Theatre visit to see the Phantom of the Opera. One of my best expereiences. Sunday morning visit to Petticoat Lane. Very busy. Lots of bargains. Not particularly enjoyable in the heat.
Went to see 'We Will Rock You' Excellent, strongly advise a visit to this musical Make sure you take advantage of #two for one offers in London Buy a daily travel card, to get you from place to place in a short time
